Our beginners portraiture workshop is the first in a three part series of workshops including beginner, intermediate and advanced. In this workshop we will be engaging simplified forms in order to structure the head, face and features.

Portraiture is a wonderful and intimate form of expression. Join us, as we help get you started by breaking down the process into bite-size morsels. During this workshop, students will develop an understanding of the form and structure of the head, face and features for portraiture.

*This workshop will be primarily focused around drawing, but is open to artists working in other mediums.

In this course we will:

  • learn how to see and simplify complex forms through drawing
  • study basic anatomy for portraiture
  • apply your skills through a series of drawing exercises
